You can request deletion of personal data EcomWizzard holds about you — including any data we have received from Facebook or Instagram via the EcomWiz Customer Service integration — at any time. This page explains the process and what to expect.
Data Deletion Request and
include the Facebook page name, Instagram handle, or email
address associated with your account so we can locate your
data.
What gets deleted
- All conversations, messages, and contacts ingested from connected Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts.
- All conversations, messages, and contacts ingested from connected Gmail mailboxes.
- Stored Meta access tokens and webhook subscriptions associated with your account.
- AI-generated reply drafts and any associated metadata.
- Account profile information, login credentials, and billing data (except where retention is required by law — e.g. tax records).
Processing timeline
- Within 24 hours of receiving your request, we acknowledge receipt and confirm the scope of deletion.
- Within 30 days, we permanently delete or anonymize your personal data from our production systems.
- Within 90 days, your data is purged from all backups (encrypted backups roll over on a 90-day cycle).
What is NOT automatically deleted
Deleting your data from EcomWiz Customer Service does not delete:
- Messages stored in your own Facebook Page Inbox or Instagram Direct inbox — those are controlled by Meta and remain unless you delete them inside Facebook/Instagram itself.
- Messages stored in your own Gmail account.
- Financial records we are required to retain by tax or accounting law (typically 7 years), in anonymized form.
Disconnecting without deleting
If you only want to stop new data from flowing in (but keep your historical inbox), you can disconnect a channel from Settings → Integrations in the EcomWiz Customer Service app. This revokes our access token, unsubscribes from Meta webhooks, and stops new ingest, while leaving existing data in place.
Revoke access from Facebook directly
You can also revoke EcomWiz Customer Service's access to your Facebook and Instagram accounts at any time by visiting your Facebook Business Integrations settings and removing EcomWiz Customer Service. This immediately revokes our tokens; the rest of the deletion proceeds as described above once you email us.
